Energie durch Geothermie f\u00fcr die Versorgung der lokalen Bev\u00f6lkerung als auch Lithiumhydroxid f\u00fcr Batterieproduktion f\u00fcr Elektroautos aus derselben Sole im Oberrheingraben zu gewinnen. In Projektphase Eins wird Vulcan j\u00e4hrlich 24.000 Tonnen Lithiumhydroxid in Batteriequalit\u00e4t produzieren, was ausreicht, um etwa eine halbe Million Elektrofahrzeuge pro Jahr auszustatten. Zudem wird Vulcan 275 GWh gr\u00fcnen Strom und bis zu 560 GWh erneuerbare W\u00e4rme pro Jahr produzieren. Angesichts des starken Interesses von Investoren und Kreditgebern an Green-Label-Finanzierungen wird es Vulcan au\u00dferdem erm\u00f6glichen, seine Ziele im Bereich der \u00f6kologischen Nachhaltigkeit besser zu kommunizieren. Dazu geh\u00f6rt das Management aller wesentlichen Risiken, die mit dem Projekt verbunden sind, sowie die Unterst\u00fctzung bei den Berichtspflichten gem\u00e4\u00df den Green Loan Principles der Loan Market Association (LMA). Das Framework wurde von der f\u00fchrenden unabh\u00e4ngigen Ratingagentur S&amp;P Global Ratings bewertet und insgesamt mit einem dunkelgr\u00fcnen Status ausgezeichnet, der h\u00f6chsten Bewertung, die ein Metall- und Bergbauunternehmen weltweit je erhalten hat. Vulcan wurde auch in den Kategorien \u201eGreen Enabling Project\u201c und \u201eErneuerbare Energien\u201c mit einem dunkelgr\u00fcnen Status ausgezeichnet. Eine S&amp;P Global Second Party Opinion (SPO) bewertet, ob das Framework mit den von Dritten ver\u00f6ffentlichten Grunds\u00e4tzen f\u00fcr nachhaltige Finanzen \u00fcbereinstimmt, darunter die Green Bond Principles und die Green Enabling Projects Guidance der International Capital Market Association (ICMA) sowie die LMA Green Loan Principles.
