Diese Art von Sorbens funktioniert in der Regel optimal bei h\u00f6heren Temperaturen. In einigen kommerziellen Betrieben weltweit wird daher Gas verwendet, um die Sole vor der Lithiumextraktion zu erhitzen. Vulcan nutzt stattdessen die nat\u00fcrlich vorgew\u00e4rmte Sole aus dem hei\u00dfen geothermischen Reservoir im Solefeld des Oberrheingrabens. So k\u00f6nnen Betriebskosten gesenkt werden und der Bedarf an fossilen Brennstoffen in diesem Prozessschritt entf\u00e4llt. Zur Lithiumgewinnung verwendet Vulcan die Technologie der <a href=\"https:\/\/api.investi.com.au\/api\/announcements\/vul\/6be2a66a-e0d.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Direkten Lithiumextraktion durch Adsorption (A-DLE).<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-last-item\"><strong>Eine einfache und bew\u00e4hrte Methode.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-last-item\">Das Besondere an unserem Projekt ist, dass Vulcan Energie aus Tiefengeothermie f\u00fcr die Lithiumgewinnung nutzt. Tiefengeothermie wird seit Jahren zur Erzeugung Erneuerbarer Energie genutzt, indem hei\u00dfe Sole aus dem Untergrund an die Oberfl\u00e4che gef\u00fchrt wird, um W\u00e4rme und Strom zu erzeugen. Anschlie\u00dfend wird die Sole wieder in den Untergrund zur\u00fcckgef\u00fchrt. Da die Sole nicht nur hei\u00df ist, sondern auch betr\u00e4chtliche Mengen an Lithium enth\u00e4lt, wird das Metall in dem eigens entwickelten Sorbens <a href=\"https:\/\/v-er.eu\/new-staging\/de\/firmeneigenes-sorbens\/\">VULSORB\u00ae<\/a> aufgefangen, bevor die Sole in den Untergrund zur\u00fcckflie\u00dft. Bei diesem geschlossenen Kreislauf-Verfahren wird nicht nur Lithium gewonnen, sondern auch \u00fcbersch\u00fcssige Erneuerbare Energie erzeugt, die den Kommunen vor Ort zur Verf\u00fcgung gestellt wird.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-last-item\">Durch die Kombination von Energie aus Tiefengeothermie und der Direkten Lithiumgewinnung zeichnet sich Vulcans Methode durch wichtige Umweltaspekte aus: Im Gegensatz zu herk\u00f6mmlichen Lithiumgewinnungsverfahren, bei denen zwischen 10 und 30 Tonnen CO<sub>2<\/sub> pro Tonne Lithiumhydroxidmonohydrat ausgesto\u00dfen werden, st\u00f6\u00dft Vulcan lediglich eine sehr geringe Menge an Restemissionen aus.\u00a0Bei der konventionellen Lithiumgewinnung werden gro\u00dfe Mengen an Wasser und Land verbraucht. Vulcans Verfahren ist dagegen in puncto Ressourcennutzung wesentlich effizienter: Ben\u00f6tigt werden nur 1,6 Tonnen Wasser (ohne Produkte) und 6m2\u00a0Land pro Tonne erzeugtem Lithiumhydroxidmonohydrat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-last-item\">In einer Welt, in der Automobilhersteller wie Volkswagen, Stellantis und Renault aktiv nach gr\u00fcnen und nachhaltigen Rohstoffquellen f\u00fcr Lithium-Ionen-Batterien suchen, bietet Vulcans Ansatz eine vielversprechende L\u00f6sung.
