Juni 2022.<\/strong> Der weltweit viertgr\u00f6\u00dfte Autobauer Stellantis wird zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfter Anteilseigner von Vulcan. Hierf\u00fcr hat das Unternehmen eine Investition von 50 Millionen Euro in das Karlsruher Unternehmen bekannt gegeben. Mit der Finanzierung soll die geplante Produktionserweiterung des Zero Carbon Lithium\u2122 Projektes im Oberrheingraben vorangetrieben werden. Stellantis ist somit der weltweit erste \u00a0Automobilhersteller, der in ein b\u00f6rsennotiertes Lithiumunternehmen investiert.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eMit der strategischen Investition in Vulcan wollen wir den Aufbau einer widerstandsf\u00e4higen und nachhaltigen Wertsch\u00f6pfungskette f\u00fcr die europ\u00e4ische Batterieindustrie f\u00f6rdern. Damit st\u00e4rken wir den europ\u00e4ischen Wirtschaftsstandort und den Erfolg der heimischen Automobilindustrie\u201c, so Carlos Tavares, CEO von Stellantis. &#8220;Wir setzen unser Bestreben fort, starke Beziehungen zu Partnern aufzubauen, die unsere Werte teilen, w\u00e4hrend wir gemeinsam gegen die globale Erw\u00e4rmung k\u00e4mpfen und unseren Kunden saubere, sichere und erschwingliche Mobilit\u00e4t bieten.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Im Rahmen seines Plans \u201eDare Forward 2030\u201c k\u00fcndigte Stellantis an, bis 2030 einen Anteil von 100 % batteriebetriebener Elektrofahrzeuge in Europa und 50 % in den USA zu erreichen. Stellantis ist der Branchen-Champion im Kampf gegen den Klimawandel und will bis 2038 Klimaneutralit\u00e4t erreichen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus erh\u00f6hte Stellantis seine geplante Batteriekapazit\u00e4t um 140 GWh auf ca. 400 GWh, die durch f\u00fcnf Batteriefabriken in Europa und Nordamerika sowie durch zus\u00e4tzliche Liefervertr\u00e4ge unterst\u00fctzt werden soll.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Die Investition von Stellantis in unser Zero Carbon Lithium\u2122 Projekt ist ein wichtiges Statement eines der gr\u00f6\u00dften Automobilhersteller der Welt f\u00fcr die Transformation hin zu einer nachhaltigen und strategischen Beschaffung von Batteriematerialien&#8221;, so Horst Kreuter, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer von Vulcan. &#8220;Unsere Dekarbonisierungs- und Elektrifizierungsstrategie deckt sich mit der von Stellantis, die zu den ehrgeizigsten in der Branche geh\u00f6ren. Mit dem Einstieg von Stellantis in Vulcan wird unser gr\u00f6\u00dfter Abnehmer von Lithium zu einem der wichtigsten Anteilseigner. Dies unterstreicht die hohe Bedeutung der lokalen Gewinnung von CO<sub>2<\/sub>-neutralem Lithium und die exzellente Zusammenarbeit unserer beider Unternehmen.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Vulcan und Stellantis haben au\u00dferdem die Laufzeit des im vergangenen Jahr geschlossenen Abnahmevertrages um weitere f\u00fcnf Jahre auf 2035 verl\u00e4ngert.
