Climate leadership is central to Vulcan's purpose of supporting the European energy and mobility transition. By producing renewable geothermal energy and lithium, we aim to contribute to the decarbonisation of key industries while creating long-term value for our stakeholders.

Our approach focuses on understanding and managing climate-related risks and opportunities, reducing emissions across our value chain and strengthening climate-related governance and reporting. We continue to build the systems, data and processes needed to support transparent decision-making and meet evolving stakeholder expectations.

As our projects progress, we are advancing initiatives that support emissions reduction, renewable energy generation, climate resilience and the development of a transparent pathway towards our long-term climate ambitions.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions

We monitor and report greenhouse gas emissions to better understand our climate impacts, identify opportunities for improvement and support transparent climate-related reporting.

Renewable Energy

Vulcan's integrated geothermal energy and lithium project is designed to supply renewable energy while supporting the production of critical raw materials needed for electrification and decarbonisation. In 2025, Vulcan generated renewable electricity and commenced commercial delivery of geothermal heat to local communities.

We assess physical and transition climate risks to better understand how climate change may impact our business, projects and stakeholders, and to support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Life Cycle Assessment

Life cycle assessment helps us understand the environmental footprint of our products from cradle to gate and supports continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce emissions and environmental impacts across the value chain.
